Made at Firebird Community Arts, a Chicago glassblowing studio, with volunteers who are survivors of gun violence. Molten glass was pressed against a laser-cut wooden bird, then scanned and reproduced as a poster. Glass has a hard edge, yet true safety lies not within it but in relationships of trust; the bird marks that idea.
